Discover Inner Peace
To be born into this world is to experience all that life has to offer. Living, and being human, also means that throughout one’s life, they will experience challenges. They will encounter events that result in feelings of anxiety, sadness, pain, loss, confusion, emptiness, or troubled relationships. Sometimes, these feelings and issues may even surface without a specific event or trigger, and a person simply finds themselves feeling “stuck”. When this happens, seeking help through therapy is a common step for many people.
In my role as a psychotherapist, I offer compassionate and professional mental health counselling services to help you navigate life's challenges by gaining a better understanding of yourself, developing coping strategies, and building resilience, with the end goal of achieving personal growth and improving overall well-being. With a focus on personalized care and evidence-based practices, I am dedicated to providing a warm, non-judgmental, 2SLGBTQ+, and BIPOC safe space where my patients can be comfortable being their authentic selves as they share and explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours.
My therapeutic approaches include psychoanalytic/psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), attachment-based therapy, existential therapy, emotion-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and person-centred therapy.
In addition to my psychotherapist hat, I also wear the hat of a certified Human Resources professional. My 15+ years in Human Resources has afforded me skills and knowledge that I incorporate into my work as a psychotherapist, particularly in the areas of career goals and co-worker relationships.
Empower Growth
Couples & Relational Therapy
Our lives are enriched when we engage in fulfilling relationships. Similar to other facets of our lives, our relationships will go through the ebbs and flows of favourable and beset by impasses that impact the well-being of all those involved. When we encounter relationship impasses, therapy can enable us to gain a deeper understanding of relationship dynamics, learn to see from another's perspective, learn strategic and effective coping skills, improve communication skills, and discuss feelings about the relationship.
My emotion-focused therapeutic approach to couples and relational therapy aims to help couples identify negative cycles of interactions, and learn how to discuss their fears and their needs with each other by becoming more open and responsive.
